How to USE:

1. Turn unit on by sliding the switch located on the side upward. You will hear a soft swoosh as the ionic discharge begins.

2. Place cord around neck or clasp to shirt pocket with top metal grill facing upward.

3. Unit should be between 6 to 8 inches from nose.

4. You will see a neon indicator ion monitor light when the switch is activated and a purified cold breeze begins to waft upward to your face when you inhale.

5. If neon light is not on, or there is no breeze, it is time to change the battery.

6. This is not a fan or a mechanical blower and we have limited the airflow so that sensitive mucous membranes are not affected.

7. If operating in polluted area and you hear a hissing sound, blow gently into top of grill to dislodge dust build up. For heavy pollution bend head forward to draw in more ionized air.

Maintenance:

1. Do not immerse in liquids or allow fluids to enter unit.

2. Do not open or attempt to repair (NO user serviceable parts inside).

3. Limited outdoor effectiveness where it is usually not needed.

Battery Replacement:

1. Slide side battery access door all the way of exposing the used battery.

2. Put thumb against bottom of exposed battery and press inward and swing used battery out at the top.

3. Replace with new battery by inserting positive end first and swinging negative end onto bottom metal contact.

4. Using the grooved rails, slide battery access door back on until it mates completely with the main Mini-Mate housing.
